Nun’s Corner. Grimsby

Typical Corner House Public House in Grimsby 1940's

Robin Furman was met by the presence of a ghost nun at his old house in Grimsby, known locally as Nun’s Corner.

“I reached the top of the stairs and there she was: a tall nun. I could see her quite clearly and she looked completely real. It was only when I saw her face that I realized she wasn’t real … because she hadn’t got one. In its place was a glowing light. I was absolutely amazed, of course. She was wearing an old-fashioned head-dress, whereas modern nuns have flat head-dresses. Then she drifted away and was gone. It all happened so quickly that I didn’t have time to be scared.”
